Driving Directions

ATTENTION: The historic Quaker Bridge has been closed for repair. The work is scheduled to finish by December 31, 2009. Until then, visitors to the Danish Home must detour around Quaker Bridge Road; the directions below reflect this detour.

From Taconic State Parkway, Northbound:
Take Underhill Ave. exit, the first exit after crossing the Croton Reservoir Bridge. Make a left at the top of the exit. Go 4/10 mile to full stop sign. Make a right on Route 129 and drive about 5 miles. Follow signs for Route 9 South towards Ossining. Enter Rt. 9 South. After passing the Croton Point Avenue exit, keep right to stay on Route 9 (not 9A). At the first traffic light, turn left onto Old Albany Post Road. Drive 1.1 miles and bear right on Glendale Road. Immediately bear left onto Quaker Ridge Road. Drive 1.1 miles and turn left onto Quaker Bridge Road East. The Danish Home's driveway in front of you. Follow the drive to the main parking lot where there are two flagpoles.

From Taconic State Parkway, Southbound:
Take the Underhill Ave. exit. Make a right at the top of the exit onto Rt. 129. Follow instructions above from Rt 129.

From Route 9 Northbound:
After driving through Ossining village, exit Rt 9 following sign for Quaker Bridge Road, just prior to you traffic light for Old Albany Post Road. (St. Augustine's Roman Catholic church is on the left. If you cross the Croton Bridge you've gone too far.) Drive 1.1 miles and bear right on Glendale Road. Immediately bear left on Quaker Ridge Road. Drive 1.1 miles and turn left onto Quaker Bridge Road East. The Danish Home's driveway in front of you. Follow the drive to the main parking lot where there are two flagpoles.

From Route 9A Northbound:

After driving through Briarcliff Manor, exit right on the Shady Farm Road exit. At the stop sign, Turn left at the stop sign, then turn right at the next stop sign. Proceed one mile on Old Albany Post Road. Drive; bear right on Glendale Road. Immediately bear left on Quaker Ridge Road. Drive 1.1 miles and turn left onto Quaker Bridge Road East. The Danish Home's driveway in front of you. Follow the drive to the main parking lot where there are two flagpoles.

From Route 9/9A Southbound:
Drive through Croton-on-Hudson. After passing the Croton Point Avenue exit and crossing the Croton Bridge, keep right to stay on Route 9 (not 9A). At the first traffic light, turn left onto Old Albany Post Road. Drive 1.1 miles and turn right on Glendale Road. Immediately bear left on Quaker Ridge Road. Drive 1.1 miles and turn left onto Quaker Bridge Road East. The Danish Home's driveway in front of you. Follow the drive to the main parking lot where there are two flagpoles.
